Gamebase ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Gamebase platform, which helps indie game developers build landing pages, press kits, and news feeds for their games. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Account Information
- Your name and email address, provided through Google when you sign in
- Your profile picture, as provided by your Google account
- Studio name and other details you provide when setting up your account
Game Data
- Steam game metadata (title, description, screenshots, trailers) imported via the Steam API at your request
- Content you create on Gamebase, including landing page configurations, custom pages, news posts, and press kit materials
- Assets you upload, such as images, logos, and press kit files
Usage Data
- Anonymous page view counts for your published game sites
- Basic request information such as IP address and browser user agent, processed by Cloudflare as part of standard request handling
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Gamebase service
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To sync your game data from Steam and display it on your published pages
- To provide you with page view analytics for your published game sites
- To communicate with you about your account or our service
- To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. We use HTTPS encryption for all connections and secure authentication via Google.
We do not store your Google password. Authentication is handled by Google directly.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Gamebase:
- Google for account authentication
- Steam Web API to import and sync your game data at your request
- Cloudflare for hosting, storage, CDN, and analytics infrastructure
- Stripe for payment processing (if you subscribe to a paid tier)
Each of these services is governed by its own privacy policy.
5. Published Game Sites
When you publish a game site through Gamebase, the content you've configured (landing page, press kit, news posts, custom pages) becomes publicly accessible. This includes any game descriptions, screenshots, trailers, and other materials you've added.
Gamebase blocks AI training bots from crawling your published sites by default. You can manage this setting in your game's configuration.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and game content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and game content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your game content and data
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

8. Cookies
Gamebase uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
Gamebase is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email. Your continued use of Gamebase after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
